If Indian food isn’t already in your cooking rotation, making it for the first time can be intimidating. Many of the spices and ingredients might be outside of your cooking comfort zone, but it’s exactly those ingredients that make it such a delicious and unique cuisine. There may even be a scientific reason for why Indian food is so addicting: The ingredients in Indian and many South Asian dishes often have opposing flavor combinations, while most other cuisines rely heavily on pairing ingredients with those that have agreeable flavors.
