Xem Thêm : The Downside to Family-Style Serving We Hadn’t Thought Of
A quick mea culpa: We’ve been remiss to flat out ignore ‘Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party’, the Emmy-nominated VH1 variety show that pairs Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg as they cook, drink, and cavort with their celebrity friends. The duo has quite a bit of chemistry, and it’s on full display in the trailer for the second season of the show, which originally aired during last week’s Video Music Awards.
In it, they spoof the iconic scene from 1990’s Ghost wherein Demi Moore’s character sits in front of a pottery wheel. Moments later, her soon-to-be-deceased lover (Patrick Swayze) wraps her in his arms, all while the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” spills into the background.

In this parody, Stewart is Moore, and Snoop is Swayze; a mound of clay becomes a chocolate cake. Sitting in a candlelit room, Stewart cracks an egg. She unbuttons her shirt. She frosts a cake. She shoots coy, knowing glances at the camera as Snoop sneaks up behind her, and their buttercream-sheathed hands caress one another.
It’s a lovely trailer. The second season of ‘Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party’ premieres on VH1 on Monday, October 16 at 10/9C. Save the date.
