What’s that soft rumble? It’s the sound of fruits, vegetables, and ice cream defrosting in a time-lapse in this eight-minute video released by Montreal-based video production company Stereokroma. Marvel at those icy casings melting against stark, black backgrounds.
The video is, quite plainly, the most gorgeous video I’ve seen in all year, five days old. (Stereokroma is also selling a calendar with select, hi-resolution images from the video. How’s that for a way to ring in the new year?) It’s hard to single out one moment, though if I had to pick, I’d go for the pomegranate defrosting at the 3:11 mark. Look at those vibrant seeds—like little jewels!
