This week’s lunch was a kitchen sink creation. I had smoked salmon and needed to figure out what else I could pair with it. I thought a watermelon radish would be fun, and I also had a few scraps of tarragon — salmon likes tarragon even when the herb is looking a little forlorn. And cream cheese, as I’ve mentioned before, is the great school lunch unifier. All I needed to do was arrange this motley grouping on some sandwich bread and add in a tangerine and chocolate macaroon for company.
