8 Picnic-Perfect Desserts

Every other Friday, Yossy Arefi from Apt. 2B Baking Co. shares dessert projects that demand a little extra time and effort. Because your weekends should always be sweet.

Today: Picnic-ready desserts that are as portable as they are perfect.

Here is the start of a typical picnic basket checklist:

• A blanket
• Libations (lemonade, water, etc.)
• Potato salad, pasta salad, or other cool salads
• Cold fried chicken, for carnivores
• Tartines or veggie burgers, for herbivores
• Something sweet…?

That something sweet, though, takes a bit more planning. Dessert isn’t known for its portability. For a picnic, you can’t just scoop some ice cream and call it a day.
